posture - chasing down hostile, uninvited visitors who
have "already breached the perimeter wire".
Reactive solutions certainly have their
place in the layered security architecture, but companies
are increasingly turning to proactive solutions
that have the ability to identify vulnerabilities and
remediate them before they can be exploited.

network security, they need to know what is at greatest
risk, what problems to fix first and how to address
those problems. Unfortunately, the tools
for vulnerability assessment do not make it easier to
